Welcome to ErinBaileyBoyes.com! What's New... March 2012 It’s been a while since my last post, and a lot has happened! The biggest thing is the birth of our daughter, Bailey Elizabeth Boyes. She was born September 6, 2012 at a whopping 9 pounds, 1 ounce. At 6 months of age, she continues to be a big girl. She is already 22 pounds, 2 ounces, which is in the 100th percentile! Too much protein in my diet, I guess! ;-) The doctor doesn’t seem to be too concerned, though, as she is very healthy and has a wonderful temperament. She is a good sleeper and not too fussy unless she is hungry or tired. As any of you moms out there know, babies take up almost all of your time and so getting back into great shape has taken longer than I had planned. As of this month, I finally am able to work out 6 days per week again and I am being really strict with my diet, so I am making major progress towards my goals and hope to get to my “normal” physique by late April, and competition-ready by the Fall. As I discuss in my latest SAF journal entry, it’s important to force time into your schedule for yourself. It may sound selfish, but is actually good not only for your own sanity and well-being, but for all the people around you! Some people think I’m crazy when I tell them my workout schedule! I get up at 4:00 am, am at my studio by 5:00 am, workout for an hour, and then train clients from 6:00 am until 10:00 am. Then I’m home with Bailey for the rest of the day. Getting up that early may sound extreme, but you have to be fanatical if you have big goals! Another big development is my return to work at the beginning of this month and the expansion of Body By Design to make room for me and my clients! As you may know, fellow-fitness competitor and good friend Marisa Anderson has been training my clients at Body By Design for the past 6 months while I was on maternity leave, and has done a fabulous job. With my return, we had to expand the studio so that there is room for Marisa and myself and two clients training at the same time. We added about 600 square feet to double the size of the studio. We also added a Bowflex multi-function trainer, some other weight equipment, and a spin bike to go along with our other four cardio machines. We are taking on a few more new clients, so contact me if you live in Muskoka and are looking for a trainer. My return to the stage will happen this Fall, with plans to participate in WBFF, SAF and UFE. I’m aiming to bring my best physique to date! Please keep up with my more frequent posts on the SAF site by clicking the box to the right, and please come out this Fall to cheer me on! xo
